What could be nicer than walking slowly to the beach and on the way seeing some of Barcelona’s beautiful buildings and parks?
Our walk starts around “Arco de Triunfo de Barcelona”. A little coffee break and we start walking down the “Passeig de Lluis Companys”.
We are not alone and a lot of people from all over the world are with us. Taking pictures and enjoying the beautiful sun. Right next to the “Arco” you can see the majestic building – “Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Cataluna”.
Crossing the street and we can smell nature. Barcelona is a busy city but you can find beautiful parks with a lot of different plants and trees. Now it is time to come down in the “Parc de la Ciutadella”. Lucky enough a green pagan welcomes us when arriving in the parc. Walking through the parc you find also the majestic “Cascada Monumental”. Here you can sit around, take pictures or just enjoy the bubble artist blowing some bubbles.
We keep on walking and find at a little lake. On the lake, people are taking boats and floating together with the ducks in the lake. Keep your eyes open for those beautiful flowers surrounding the lake.
Refreshed from the trees and the parc its time to get those feet in the sand but before we arrive at the beach we pass through the village of Olympia where the Olympia stars were hosted during the Olympia. You can tell that the building and the area looks very different – very modern and clean.
Arrived at the beach we are finally able to rest our feet. It wasn’t a long walk but a very fulfilling seeing a lot of what Barcelona has to offer in a short time. Now its time to lay down and enjoy the sun!
